2020 Award of Outstanding Science and Technology Worker of Jinan
Du Lianming, male, Ph.D, associate professor and master's supervisor in University of Jinan. He graduated from the School of Mechanical Engineering at Shandong University, majoring in Mechanical Design and Theory, and obtained a Doctor's degree of Engineering. His research interests include advanced manufacturing technology, unconventional processing technology and equipment, construction machinery equipment, CAD/CAE technology, and virtual prototype simulation technology. He is a visiting scholar under the "2023 Young Key Teachers Overseas Research Program" of the China Scholarship Council (Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Natsu Lab, Japan, from March 2024 to April 2025). He is a senior member of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, a member of the Special Processing Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, a regular member of the Japan Precision Engineering Society, a regular member of the Japan Electrical Processing Society, a member of the Special Processing Professional Committee of the Shandong Mechanical Engineering Society, and a member of the Shandong Agricultural Machinery Society. He is also an expert for the evaluation of high-tech enterprises by the Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, an expert for the evaluation of the innovation capacity improvement project of small and medium-sized technology-based enterprises by the Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, an expert for the evaluation of scientific and technological projects by the Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Association, and an expert for the evaluation of enterprise standards by the Shandong Standardization Research Institute. In 2020, he was awarded the title of "Outstanding Science and Technology Worker of Jinan City". The project he participated in, "Track and Road Dual-Use Heavy-Duty Eight-Drive Tractor", won the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of Tai'an City, Shandong Province (ranked second), and the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of Xintai City, Tai'an City, Shandong Province (ranked second). He has published over 20 academic papers in journals such as the Journals/International academic conferences of Mechanical Engineering, with 10 papers indexed by EI(Engineering Index). He is a reviewer for the international journals International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology and International Journal of Mechanical Engineering and Applications.
The direction of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Process and Equipment focuses on advanced manufacturing technology, process optimisation, automation technology, design and optimisation of modern equipment, high-end material performance analysis and design and manufacturing technology, and surface engineering related to modern manufacturing.
The direction of non-traditional machining processes and equipment focuses on the Processing of difficult-to-machine materials in the manufacturing industry, Micro/nano machining ,Precision Engineering,Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), Non-traditional manufacturing processes and equipment (micro EDM, electrochemical machining, laser machining, ultrasonic and ultrasonic composite machining, etc.).
For engineering/construction machinery products, using digital twin technology and virtual simulation technology to carry out optimal design of construction machinery, construction vehicles and other complex mechanical products, structural strength analysis and optimal design, dynamic analysis.
Using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) methods (multi-rigid body dynamics analysis, finite element analysis, multi-physics field coupling analysis), for mechanical product design, manufacturing, heat treatment, dynamics, material properties, such as structural strength, stiffness, heat transfer, three-dimensional multi-body contact, elastic-plastic, kinematics and dynamics and other optimisation analyses. Commonly used software are SolidWorks, UG, AutoCAD, ANSYS Workbench, Deform, EDEM, Comsol and so on.
