2020 Award of Outstanding Science and Technology Worker of Jinan
Associate Professor DU was born in Jinan, Shandong Province, P. R. China. He got his Ph.D degree from School of Mechanical Engineering, Shandong University, majoring in Mechanical Design and Theory in 2015. Now he is the Associate Professor and Master's Degree Supervisor of University of Jinan. His research interests is advanced manufacturing technology, non-traditional machining process and equipment, engineering machinery equipment, CAD/CAE technology, and virtual prototype simulation technology, etc. He is the expert of High and New Technology Enterprise of Shandong Province Science and Technology Department, expert of Shandong Province Science and Technology Department in enhancing the innovation ability of small and medium-sized enterprises, expert of Shandong Province Equipment Manufacturing Association in appraising scientific and technological projects, and expert of Shandong Province Institute of Standardisation in appraising enterprise standards. Deputy Director of Science and Technology Bureau of Linqing City, Shandong Province (2022-2023), Science and Technology Consultant of Pingyi County Economic Development Zone, Linyi City, Shandong Province (2023-2025). State Scholar of ‘2023 Overseas Training Programme for Young Teachers’ (Natsu Lab, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan, 2024.3-2025.3) by the China Scholarship Council, 2020 Jinan Outstanding Science and Technology Worker. The project ‘Heavy Duty Eight-Wheel Drive Tractor for Dual Use on Rail and Road’ won the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Tai'an City, Shandong Province (2nd place), and the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Xintai City, Tai'an City, Shandong Province (2nd place). Reviewer of International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology.
The direction of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Process and Equipment focuses on advanced manufacturing technology, process optimisation, automation technology, design and optimisation of modern equipment, high-end material performance analysis and design and manufacturing technology, and surface engineering related to modern manufacturing.
The direction of non-traditional machining processes and equipment focuses on the Processing of difficult-to-machine materials in the manufacturing industry, Micro/nano machining ,Precision Engineering,Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), Non-traditional manufacturing processes and equipment (micro EDM, electrochemical machining, laser machining, ultrasonic and ultrasonic composite machining, etc.).
For engineering/construction machinery products, using digital twin technology and virtual simulation technology to carry out optimal design of construction machinery, construction vehicles and other complex mechanical products, structural strength analysis and optimal design, dynamic analysis.
Using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) methods (multi-rigid body dynamics analysis, finite element analysis, multi-physics field coupling analysis), for mechanical product design, manufacturing, heat treatment, dynamics, material properties, such as structural strength, stiffness, heat transfer, three-dimensional multi-body contact, elastic-plastic, kinematics and dynamics and other optimisation analyses. Commonly used software are SolidWorks, UG, AutoCAD, ANSYS Workbench, Deform, EDEM, Comsol and so on.
